Def Leppard/Spirit
Jun 24 2008, 12:09 PM EDT Being able to connect in Spirit with Def Lepp has in ways been one of the reasons I'm still sitting/standing on the green side of the grass. Following hearing the music, Joe & Sav for some reason(pretty sure it was the smiles), became the central attraction, when I first heard Def Leppard. Not too long after hearing I started listening to what they were singing bout, I realized there's more than meets the eye. That's when the band as a whole became the main attraction. I could gush bout how great they look, how my heart skips a beat when I see in combination with hearing them sing/play. But I'd rather gush bout: (1)The force behind the voice(vocally/instrumentally), you know in most amusement parks the main attraction is a roller coaster, which when one gets on one knows to get ready for a heart pumping experience. (2); strength and integrity they've shown throughout the yrs (dealing with difficulties/accomplishments that's gone on,big ones and small ones), (3); knowing that in hindsight there's a bigger picture for them being in my life, (4); they've got a way with words(lyrically speaking) that, even if not written for that specific reason, helped me get through some difficulties(big ones and small ones) as well. I'm very thankful. Do you find this valuable? |
