After listening to Def Leppard so much, I wondered who in the world could play so fantastic on a guitar? Then, I realized it was a man I'd never heard of, much less cared about. But, after watching Hysteria: The Def Leppard Story, I absolutely fell in love with the band. But, more importantly, I fell for Steve. The things he brought into the band, the music, playing those random riffs that no one understood but him, made him the greatest guitarist of his time. I loved watching 'Classic Albums' about the Hysteria album, and how they had the interview with Steve. I fell completely in love with everything about him. They talked more about him at the end, about his alcoholism, and other problems. That's not how I remember Steve. I remember the creative, fun, energetic, great musician he should be remembered as. I wish I could've been around before he died to see him perform live. He died months before I was born, however. I am a I just hope he's rocking out, wherever he is, and I am glad I stumbled upon such a great musician. His music really has touched my life, and as my myspace page says, 'the song has ended but the melody lingers on'. Steve will always be loved and remembered as one of the greatest guitarists to walk this earth. I had to laugh when I found out that one of his many nicknames was 'Snikker', kind of reminds you of a candy bar. Then again, he was delicious!
That special song for Steve will always play in my heart.
I love you Steve 'Steamin' Clark!!!

I couldn't have said it better! :) I wasn't alive when Steve was but from what I've watched of him performing, he had such a presence on stage. That's where he truly belonged and I'm sure would've loved to live there if he could. He always said it makes him happy when he sees the fans singing along or smiling. Steve truly was an amazing musician, performer, songwriter, and all around good person. I wish he didn't have to go through all of the pain and heartache that he did. But atleast we know now he is in a much better place. Although I DO wish he could still be alive. I'm also grateful that I was introduced to Def Leppard because if I hadn't I wouldn't have known the amazing music that Steve created. Miss you Steve. <3 Do you find this valuable?
